When you think of Egypt, several cities immediately come to mind: Cairo, Giza, Aswan, Luxor, Alexandria, and Alamein. Each city holds a unique place in history and culture, offering you a glimpse into the rich tapestry that makes Egypt so captivating.
A Glimpse of Egypt tour package will let you discover the bustling streets and ancient wonders of Cairo and Giza; the serene beauty and historic temples along the Nile in Aswan; the grandeur of Luxor, often called the world’s greatest open-air museum; the Mediterranean charm of Alexandria; and the significant World War II heritage found in Alamein.
Itinerary
Day 1Cairo (Arrival)
Arrival to Cairo International Airport, meeting & assistance through passports and customs formalities by the representative of Continental Tours. Transfer to your hotel by private car or air-conditioned bus.
Overnight.
Day 2Cairo - Giza
After breakfast, start a full day visit of Grand Egyptian Museum, and have lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, continue to visit the Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, the Valley Temple and then proceed to Khan El Khalili Bazaars.
Overnight.
Day 3Cairo - Aswan
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to Cairo Airport for your domestic flight to Aswan.
Upon arrival to Aswan Airport, you will be greeted by Continental Tours representative and transferred to your hotel for check in and refreshment.
After a short rest, you will proceed to visit the High Dam, the Old Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk, and the Philae Temple.
Overnight.
Day 4Aswan
After breakfast, check out from your hotel, visit the Botanical Garden by felucca and then you will be transferred to your Nile cruise for check in.
Overnight onboard.
Day 5Kom Ombo - Edfu - Luxor
After breakfast, you will visit the Kom Ombo Temple, and then sail to Edfu to visit the Edfu Temple, and sail to Luxor in the afternoon.
Overnight onboard.
Day 6Luxor
After breakfast, visit the Valley of the Kings, the Queen Hatchepsut Temple, and the Colossi of Memnon.
In the afternoon, visit the Karnak and Luxor Temples. In the evening, you can attend the Sound and Light show at the Karnak Temple (optional).
Overnight onboard.
Day 7Luxor - Cairo
After breakfast, check out from your Nile cruise and transfer to Luxor Airport for your domestic flight back to Cairo.
Upon arrival to Cairo Airport, you will be met and assisted by our Continental Tours representative who will transfer you to your hotel for check in.
In the evening, you can enjoy a dinner on board of a Nile floating restaurant with a folklore show and belly dancing (optional).

Day 8Cairo - Alexandria
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to Alexandria by a deluxe, air-conditioned coach (3 hours drive).
Upon arrival to Alexandria, you will be transferred to your hotel for check in. After a short rest, you will proceed to visit the National Museum, Bibliotheca of Alexandria, the Catacombs of Koum EL Shoukafa, the Roman Amphitheater, and view the Qaitbay Citadel, back to hotel.
Overnight.
Day 9Alamein - Cairo
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and proceed to the city of Alamein (90 minutes drive) to visit El Alamein Museum and the Second World War cemeteries.
After the visit, return to Cairo (3 hours drive) and check in at your hotel upon arrival.
Overnight.
Day 10Cairo (Final Departure)
After breakfast, transfer to Cairo International Airport for final departure, assistance through formalities provided by the representative of Continental Tours.

- Summer rates are valid from May 01st until September 30th and Winter rates are valid from October 01st until April 30th.
- Rates are quoted per person per package.
- There is a rate supplement during peak periods (Christmas, New Year’s Eve & Easter holidays).
- The above rates are based on the above-mentioned hotels and Nile cruises, or a similar category in case of unavailability at the time of your booking.
- Hotel accommodations are always based on Continental breakfast with a supplement for other breakfast types. You will be notified about the breakfast types offered at the time of your reservation and their supplements.
- Nile cruises are always on full board basis (breakfast, lunch, dinner).
We offer a flexible child policy for adults traveling with children on holiday:
- Infants from 0 – 1.99 years old are Free of Charge.
- Children from 2 – 5.99 years old are charged only 25% of the package rate.
- Children from 6 – 11.99 years old are charged only 50% of the package rate.
- Adults 12 years old + are charged full package rate.
- The above Children Policy applies only to children who share rooms with their parents (maximum one child sharing parent’s room).
- If your package rate includes domestic flights, ferry boats, or trains, an extra supplement may be applied. Our travel consultants will confirm full Children Policy details before confirming your reservation.
- Once your booking is finalized following email correspondences between you and our travel consultants, you will receive a final detailed quotation and will be asked to select a method of payment to pay a deposit of 25 % of the total cost of the services agreed upon (50 % deposit in Christmas, New Year, & Easter holidays).
- Full payment has to be settled at least five working days before arrival (ten working days in Christmas, New Year, & Easter holidays).
If you decide to cancel your trip, the following charges will be applied:
– From the day of your booking confirmation until 61 days before the arrival date, 15 % of the total tour price will be charged.
– 35 % (50 % in peak periods) of the total tour price if cancelled 60-31 days before the arrival date.
– 50 % (75% in peak periods) of the total tour price if cancelled 30-15 days before the arrival date.
– 100 % of the total tour price if cancelled 14-1 days before the arrival date.
Tipping for a good service is normal in Egypt, but it is not a must. Feel free to show your satisfaction to a service provider by offering a tip.
